A Day In A Life | August Edition
Dear Readers of A.D.O.A.I.D,
In August, I began design work on a few projects, some were simple design consultations for window treatments, and property staging, one of which is a full interior design project on a townhouse and commercial unit in St Johns Wood. Our client is based in Dubai, so the project is communicated via email, message and in-person meetings when they travel back to the UK.
Last month I was very busy on site visits and installs. Working from cute little cafes in and around London especially being in between site visits and many times just to get out of the house, to clear my mind and seek new inspiration in another environment.
I have documented everything on video in a ‘less then a minute’ reel, called ‘A Day In A Life’ - August Edition, which is a snapshot of the daily activities I got up to. One of which was a trip to Chelsea Harbour Design Centre with my clients, an amazing place to visit for interior designers and those looking for design inspiration for their residential or commercial project.
We first stopped by the Vaughan showroom to have a look at lighting for both the townhouse and a shopping mall. Followed by the Arte International showroom to specify some textured wallpaper for a powder room. We then popped into ABI Interiors for bathroom fittings and a few more showrooms to get further inspiration. I also had a client meeting to discuss updates on the townhouse project with revised design drawings. Spent a morning ordering samples to put together in our sample trays, ahead of our next meeting.
Overall, last month was a fulfilling month and I believe I will have a great month ahead in September. I look forward to the new adventures of being a small business owner and an interior designer. I hope my diary entries have been a source of inspiration.
