Celebrating Diversity in Design: An Evening with Black Females in Architecture
Dear Readers of A.D.O.A.I.D,
Two years ago, we had the honor of attending a special evening hosted by Black Females in Architecture (BFA)—an event dedicated to celebrating and inspiring black architects, designers, and real estate professionals across the built environment industry. It was a memorable experience, one that continues to inspire our journey in the world of design.
What is Black Females in Architecture (BFA)?
BFA is a social enterprise and membership network founded to connect and support black women in architecture, design, and construction. Through networking, advocacy, education, and collaborative projects, they amplify the voices of black women and non-binary professionals, ensuring their contributions to the built environment are recognized and valued.
The Event
The evening, hosted by Muyiwa Oki, Architect at Mace, in partnership with BFA and sponsored by Landsec, brought together professionals from across the industry for an evening of inspiration, connection, and celebration.
